Commissioners OK $1.25 million in federal funds for child clothing programs

A total of $1.25 million in federal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, or TANF, funding is going to three agencies in Cuyahoga and Lorain counties to provide clothing, shoes and jackets for children in eligible Lorain County households.

Spending on the 2025 clothing program was approved Tuesday by county commissioners.

Horizon Education Centers of North Olmsted will get $1,118,200, while Tower Educational Consulting Group Inc. of Lorain will get $65,900 and El Centro in Lorain also will get $65,900…
