KETTERING, Ohio (WDTN) — One person is dead Friday after a pickup truck crashed into a residence in Kettering.
The crash occurred in the area of Marshall Road and Chateau Drive, where an investigation ensued for hours.
The security footage of a neighboring home caught the moments leading up to the crash, ultimately sending the truck into the dining room of a home on the 4200 block of Marshall. In the video, the truck appears out of control before striking a tree and ricocheting into the home.
Speaking with the homeowners, who’ve resided there for 19 years, they said that their dog was asleep underneath the windowsill at the time of the crash. The impact spooked the dog, causing it to run across the room. The dog ended up injuring its leg…
