Warm, sunny Saturday expected in the Piedmont Triad

PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — It has been a warm and sunny Independence Day. Saturday should continue to be warm with relatively low humidity and no rain in the forecast.

High pressure coming down from Canada will likely start to move east and off the coast Sunday, opening the door for possible isolated showers. Most models keep the rain along the I-95 corridor, but some of that rain could come as far inland as the Triad.

Once that low pressure moves up the coast, we expect to have a break from the rain for Monday and Tuesday. That same low pressure moving up the coast will also open the door for more heat and humidity from the Gulf to move in for the rest of the week…
