Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office offers boating safety tips ahead of Fourth of July

SOUTH HAVEN, Mich. — As the Fourth of July weekend approaches, many in West Michigan will head to the water.

Thousands are expected to take to the beach and onto boats for the holiday, and the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office (VBCSO) is offering tips and advice for those who will be boating.

The VBCSO anticipates seeing around one thousand boats on the water this holiday weekend.
