KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — On Friday night in downtown Knoxville, people spent their Independence Day at the World’s Fair Park as the city celebrated its annual Festival on the 4th.
Thousands gathered at World’s Fair Park Friday to celebrate the United States of America’s independence. The Festival on the 4th is a Knoxville tradition, and Friday night the lawn was packed. People enjoyed live music, good food, and plenty of fun activities.

“I’ve just been playing at the park and watching all the music. I went on one of the boats earlier. It’s really fun. I just want to say that this country is awesome, and I’m so glad that we have the state to be free,” said out of town visitor Kacie Snyder.
