A Mount Dora man was arrested on drug charges after officers discovered more than five pounds of marijuana and other narcotics in his vehicle.
Officers spotted the driver of a black Mercedes, subsequently identified as 29-year-old Derontay Keshawn Hill, leaving a known narcotics location in Leesburg about 5:30 p.m. Monday, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department. The tint covering the whole windshield of the vehicle was a blatant infraction, and the tint coating on the front and rear windows appeared to be prohibited.
Due to the infractions, the officers initiated a traffic stop near West Dixie Avenue and McKenzie Street. The vehicle continued to gradually roll before coming to a stop on Park Drive. The officer told Hill of the offense, and he agreed that the windshield tint was illegal, according to the report…
