ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Demonstrators gathered in Henrietta this afternoon in a show of solidarity against some of what they’re seeing on a national level.
It was organized by a new group called Henrietta Neighbors for Democracy.
Representatives said they wanted to create a show of unity in a time of division.
“This is a time that I think neighbors need each other,” one person said. “With everything that is going on in our government, there are a lot of threats to people’s economic well being, people’s personal well being. We have ICE raids, which have affected members of the community, and a lot of people are frightened, and a lot of people feel isolated and alone. If we’re going to get through this next Few years, we’ve got to do it as communities.”…
