NEW ORLEANS, La. – As the nation celebrates its birthday, it seems fitting to share about a place in the Big Easy that overflows with patriotic spirit.
The National WWII Museum in New Orleans is an expansive display that uses exhibits, artifacts and personal accounts to take visitors through the story of World War II — and it’s not too far from home.
“It opens your eyes that there is a lot more to World War II than just D-day. There’s a lot more than just Dec. 7,” said Doug Monday, a museum goer from Tennessee.
“We have an incredible repository of more than 200,000 artifacts relating to the second World War.
