What would win? That was always the question growing up. Someone would describe a vehicle in superlative terms and the natural follow up would be to compare it to the previously mentioned fastest vehicle. For everyone who ever wanted to test those comparisons and questions out, there are answers.
At the Rochelle, Illinois Airstrip The Hamilton Collection team gathered to race the world’s fastest production car: the Bugatti Chiron SS against the world’s fastest motorcycle the Kawasaki Ninja H2.

Before that though, to take advantage of the beautiful day, the crew lined up a 1932 Harley Davidson VLD Flathead against a 1910’s Ford Model A. Also, a 1968 BMW R60 motorcycle (with a sidecar) versus a 1969 Dodge Daytona. Plus, a Kawasaki Ninja GPZ900R takes on a 1980s era BMW E30 M3. Jumping into the 21st century the team matched up a 2K Suzuki Hayabusa Gen2 against a 2K Lamborghini Aventador SV.
The horse power jump from the early 20th century to current day is wild to see. It’s fun to see something that previously you had to debate in theory lived out with tangible results (and on camera). Could you make the case that different drivers would’ve had better results? Now we’re back to debate and theory. Doesn’t matter how many horse power. The speed of opinion will always be quicker.
