2,200 violations in first weeks of Tempe photo enforcement

Tempe’s photo enforcement effort resulted in 2,200 confirmed violations in the first two weeks of the program, police said.

The enforcement effort, which began May 7 with a warning period, targets several intersections throughout the city and also uses mobile units to detect speeders and red-light runners.
