Chattanooga man charged with assaulting girlfriend, threatening household cat

CHARLESTON, Tenn. — A Chattanooga man is behind bars after police say he assaulted his girlfriend with a knife and threatening to put a cat in the oven.

Chattanooga Police arrested Gerry McSpadden on July 4th after his girlfriend called 911 to say he cut her several times with a knife.

McSpadden was threatening to put the household cat in the oven while holding a knife, according to an affidavit…
