At 10:08 p.m. EDT on Friday, the National Weather Service released an updated beach hazards statement valid from Saturday 8 p.m. EDT until Sunday 8 p.m. EDT for Ottawa County.
“High wave action, strong currents, and dangerous swimming conditions expected. Piers may be heavily swamped by waves,” says the weather service. “Grand Haven State Park will be especially hazardous Saturday night and Sunday morning. Holland State Park will become hazardous Sunday afternoon as the wind switches to the northwest.”…
