Ex-Walmart employee charged with theft has been evicted from home

An ex-employee of Walmart at Buffalo Ridge Plaza in The Villages recently charged with theft has also been evicted from his home.

Candy Yosef Brown, 48, was arrested in June after he was caught loading stolen merchandise into the trunk of his car, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. While he was in the store, he was recognized as a former store employee who had been suspected of prior thefts at the store. Brown resisted arrested when a deputy tried to take him into custody. He is facing charges of theft and resisting arrest. He remains free on $1,150 bond.

Brown has also been evicted from his home at Village Park Center Town Homes off County Road 466 near the Hampton Inn. A judgement against him was issued on June 23 in Sumter County Court. The judgement included two co-habitants of the home…
