Authorities have containeda three-alarm brush fire that broke out near Point Richmond Saturday evening.

At around 9:15 p.m., the Richmond Fire Department confirmed that crews have stopped forward progress of the four-acre fire at the 900 block of Dornan Drive, near Richmond’s Miller/Knox Regional Shoreline. Officials explained that crews would continue mopping the area through the evening and into Sunday, adding that nearby trails on the hill portion of the park will be closed through the weekend.
