A quick response from Palm Beach County Fire Rescue (PBCFR) saved a resident and an apartment building on Nepsa Way in Delray Beach from possible devastation. The incident occurred Tuesday afternoon when a stove turned into a blaze, sending one individual seeking refuge onto their third-floor balcony. CBS12 reported that the PBCFR were dispatched around 1:40 p.m. and found smoke pouring from a third-floor unit, though no flames were visible from the building exterior.

Visibly, the building’s sprinkler system played a critical role in preventing the fire from spreading beyond its point of origin. “The fire was contained to the area of origin,” a statement shared by PBCFR.
