Eden Prairie Wins Best of B3 Award for Sustainability Excellence in Minnesota

The City of Eden Prairie has recently been applauded for its significant commitment to sustainable initiatives, earning it the Best of B3 Award at Minnesota’s 2025 Best of Buildings, Benchmarks, and Beyond (B3) Recognition Event on June 18. This award serves as a nod to their leadership in maintaining sustainable building practices across various facilities.

The city’s endeavors have spanned from replacing boilers at the City Center, noted for a 25% increase in energy efficiency, to a complete overhaul of the Round Lake Park Building, which now features solar panels, a green roof, and geothermal heating and cooling systems. According to the City of Eden Prairie’s publication, these are just slices of an entire pie of improvements aimed at boosting sustainability.

Each of these changes contributes to more efficient energy consumption and reduced environmental impact.
