Wright County will celebrate our country’s independence today (Friday) along with the rest of the state and nation. Locally, two of Minnesota’s oldest and biggest 4th of July celebrations continue.
In Annandale today, the annual 4th of July parade, fun at the carnival, bingo hosted by the Boy Scouts, and the crowning of new Annandale Ambassadors are a part of the daytime activities. Tonight, it’s music from The Fabulous Armadillos from 7 to 10 PM in the park, with fireworks at dusk.

Thursday night in Delano, the 2025-26 Delano Royal Ambassadors and Junior Ambassadors were crowned. Congratulations to the new Ambassadors, Hailey Anderson, Isabella Vosper, and Bella Dinger. The 2025-26 Little Misses are; Ellie King, Brooklynn Manke!
Events today in Delano for the 4th include a 5K run followed by the state’s oldest and largest 4th of July parade highlight the morning activities. Longtime media personality and community and civic leader Bob Sansevere, and this year’s Miss Buffalo Rodeo, Rhiannan Amerud are this year’s Co-Grand Marshals. Throughout the rest of the day, it’s another wristband day at the carnival, bingo in the park, Legion baseball and men’s softball tournaments continue, comic Jerry Frasier will do several shows at the family stage, Lynn the Mime will stroll through Central Park, at 4:30, it’s the Daytime Smoke Show. Throughout the day, featured music will be from First Day Out, Jake Nelson, Bill Litzau & Open Highway and tonight on the Main Stage Tent, it’s “The Pork Tornadoes” at 8:30 PM…
