Man charged in Savanna officer-involved shooting makes first court appearance

SAVANNA, Ill. (KWQC) – The man accused ramming into several squad cars and sending multiple officers to the hospital at the end of June made his first appearance in court.

Mark Feltmeyer, 59, of Freeport, Illinois is charged with:

  • Felony possession of a stolen motor vehicle
  • Three counts of felony criminal damage to government-supported property
  • Felony criminal damage to property
  • Felony aggravated fleeing and attempting to elude a peace officer
  • Two counts of felony aggravated assault- peace officer
  • Driving while license suspended, a misdemeanor
  • Two counts of resisting or obstructing a police officer, a misdemeanor
