ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Dozens of Camaros filled the parking lot outside of the Hooters on Albuquerque’s West Side. Funds from Saturday’s True Soldiers Benefit car show go directly to help the Blue Star Mothers of New Mexico, as they continue to send care packages across the globe, despite rising costs.

“So every year, we raise money to help boost our mothers who take care of care packages for fighting troops overseas. They work with the postal service, and they cost a lot of money. That is what we are doing today: raising money for them to send care packages to our troops,” says Camaro Club of New Mexico president Daniel Romero.
