Aumsville man pleads guilty to neglecting developmentally disabled adults, Medicaid theft

An Aumsville man unlawfully running an adult foster home for developmentally disabled individuals from his house pleaded guilty July 2 to neglecting vulnerable residents and stealing Medicaid funds.

Brian Woodring, 55, was arrested in May 2024 after being charged by secret indictment with dozens of counts of criminal mistreatment, making a false claim for health care payment and aggravated theft.

Woodring was paid by Medicaid to run a licensed adult foster home in Clackamas County, but investigators found the property was vacant and residents were being housed at Woodring’s home, the Oregon Department of Justice said in a news release…
