MORTON TWP. — The body of a downstate man was recovered Saturday, July 5, following a drowning on Lake Mecosta in Mecosta County’s Morton Township.
According to a news release from the Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office, at 4:30 p.m., Friday, July 4, deputies responded to the lake alongside Morton Township Fire/Rescue and other rescue personnel.
Reports suggest the man had fallen off of his jet ski, went under the water and never resurfaced…
