Michigan Weather Alert: Thunderstorms and Heavy Rain Hit Detroit and Ann Arbor Through Monday Morning

Detroit, Michigan – Thunderstorms and soaking rains will blanket Southeast Michigan through early Monday, with some areas seeing gusts up to 60 mph and frequent lightning.

According to the National Weather Service in Detroit, scattered showers will intensify overnight into Sunday, with the heaviest rain expected between noon and 6 p.m. Sunday. Cities including Detroit, Ann Arbor, Monroe, and Flint face a 55% to 75% chance of storms during that window, with rain tapering off into isolated showers Monday morning.
