74-year-old man missing from Lancaster, may be headed to Columbia

LANCASTER, S.C. — State investigators are on the lookout for a missing and possibly endangered man they believe may be heading toward Columbia.

The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office contacted the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) to activate an endangered person notification as local agencies search for 74-year-old Ronald Duvel. Authorities said Duvel was last seen in Lancaster, South Carolina, on Friday around 5 p.m., and they believe he may be heading to Columbia.

Duvel is approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs 230 pounds, with blue eyes and gray hair. He was wearing a green shirt, blue jeans and a Vietnam hat. Authorities believe he is driving a white 2019 Lincoln Continental with a South Carolina License Plate reading V39586…
