Hot and Humid Across WNY Today, Heavy Rain Possible Monday

If you like hot and humid weather, enjoy it while it lasts today, because change is coming on Monday. The National Weather Service in Buffalo says heat and humidity will prevail across Western New York, with heat index values forecast to be in the 90s throughout the entire region. A heat advisory is in effect for parts of the region, but Chautauqua County is not included in the advisory area. Meanwhile, forecasters are calling for widespread showers and thunderstorms developing ahead of a cold front on Monday, and some could produce locally heavy rainfall. The National Weather Service’s Weather Prediction Center has all of Western New York under a marginal risk of excessive rainfall leading to flash flooding.
