July 5, 2025 — Thousands gathered at Lamonica Stadium on the evening of July 4 to celebrate Freedom Fest 2025, Clovis’s signature Independence Day event presented by the Clovis Kiwanis Club. With patriotic pride, picnic baskets, and lawn chairs in tow, families and friends filled the stadium grounds well before sunset to claim their spots for an evening of festivities.
Gates opened at 5:00 p.m., and by nightfall, the field and grandstands were a sea of red, white, and blue. Children raced across the grass waving glow sticks, while adults set up folding chairs and easy-ups, enjoying the relaxed, open-seating format. The atmosphere was casual and celebratory, with guests encouraged to bring coolers, snacks, and non-alcoholic drinks. While outside food was welcome, glass containers, alcohol, fireworks, and pets (except service animals) were not permitted.
The celebration culminated at 9:00 p.m. with a dazzling fireworks display that lit up the Clovis sky. Each burst was met with applause and cheers, as families looked upward in appreciation of both the show and the shared experience it offered…
