AUSTIN, Texas — It was a truly Texas-sized Fourth of July celebration Friday night in Austin with the Lone Star State’s favorite outlaw country star.
Willie Nelson’s 4th of July Picnic returned to Austin with a star-studded lineup including Nelson and his family, Bob Dylan, The Avett Brothers, The Mavericks, Asleep at the Wheel and Tami Neilson.
Despite off and on rain throughout, the event featured eight hours of live music, food, drinks and fireworks to celebrate the holiday.
Prior to the event, Nelson told fans “I’m 92 years old and I’ll be there, so you have no excuse.” And fans definitely showed out to the Germania Insurance Amphitheater at the Circuit of The Americas…
