CLINTON, Miss. (WJTV) – Clinton neighbors celebrated the Fourth of July at the 35th Annual Red, White and Blue Fest.
The celebration was held at Traceway Park, where families set up lawn chairs and picnic blankets to enjoy a night of music and fun. Food vendors served up all the Fourth of July favorites, including hot dogs, pizza, snow cones and fresh-squeezed lemonade.
Mississippi residents enjoy Fourth of July traditions
“We’ve tried to really make this a family event. You know, everybody can bring their families out here, bring their tents, chairs, picnic blankets, and just have a good time. We’ve created just a fun, fun night. They don’t have to worry about safety or anything. They can just enjoy themselves and just listen to good music,” said Courtney Nunn, director of Clinton Parks and Recreation.
“It’s always upbeat. Everybody seems to be having a good time. There’s so many activities going on. It’s really a little bit for everybody, you know, whether you just want to hang out in the shade, get everybody on stage and have, you know, jam out a little bit or just have the kids running, jumping and having a good time here,” said Frank Briggs, with Lucy’s Fresh-Squeezed Lemonade…
