SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane commuters returning from the holiday weekend will encounter significant construction delays starting Monday as new infrastructure work begins in northwest Spokane and downtown road improvements resume.
The city will launch a major construction project in the Northwest Terrace area that will close Assembly Street in both directions for several months. The project focuses on enhancing water, sewer, stormwater and traffic infrastructure north of the Dwight Merkel Sports Complex.
