Beloved Three’s Company actress Priscilla Barnes, 70, was recently spotted enjoying a casual stroll in Los Angeles. The actress, also known for her role in the James Bond film Licence to Kill, looked relaxed and happy, sporting a simple but stylish ensemble of a pink T-shirt, jeans, and black sneakers. She carried a refreshing beverage and a tote bag.
In a 2017 interview, Barnes reflected on her time on Three’s Company, admitting she initially felt like an “imposter.” Joining the sitcom in its sixth season as nurse Terri Alden, she replaced Suzanne Somers and Jenilee Harrison, and felt the pressure of stepping into such a high-profile role.
She confessed to finding it challenging to join an already established series, particularly one filmed in front of a live audience. The fast-paced environment required her to “hit the ground running.”
Interestingly, Barnes revealed she almost didn’t land the role due to her lack of comedy experience, having primarily worked in dramatic roles. She also shared that after the show’s conclusion in 1984, she was often typecast as a nurse.
