Heat and humidity ramp up as Chantal exits

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – Over the next 24 hours the remnants of Tropical Depression Chantal will move farther north into the Mid-Atlantic, leaving behind some hot and mainly dry conditions in the Carolinas to kick off the work week.

  • Monday: Hot, a stray storm possible
  • Tuesday: Hotter, PM isolated storms
  • First Alert Wednesday: Hot, PM storms likely

The rain across our eastern counties will wind down before midnight but for now, a Flood Watch remains in place for Anson, Stanly, and Richmond counties through Monday morning.
