Cincinnati West End Blaze Displaces Five Residents, Firefighter Treated for Heat Exposure

A fire that erupted in Cincinnati’s West End yesterday afternoon has left five people homeless, according to the Cincinnati Fire Department. Flames and smoke overtook four attached two-story townhomes at approximately 4 p.m. on Laurel Park Drive, as Local 12 reported. The Cincinnati Fire Department swiftly called for a second alarm response due to the fire’s severity and the potential involvement of multiple structures.

Every resident had evacuated by the time fire crews arrived on the scene, ensuring there were no civilian casualties. Despite the challenging circumstances, with heavy fire in the rear of the middle townhouse extending to the common attic, firefighters effectively contained and extinguished the blaze in about 30 minutes, although the scene remained active for two hours thereafter, FOX19 detailed.
