Bond set for man accused of failing to stop, hitting officers in Myrtle Beach chase

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – A bond hearing was held for the man who was taken into custody following a police chase in the Grand Strand.

On Friday, Myrtle Beach police Lt. Allen Amick confirmed 40-year-old Timothy Aland was arrested and charged in the case. He faces several charges including assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature, failure to stop for a blue light, DUI and drug possession.

The hearing was held Saturday and Aland has future court dates set for Aug.19 as well as Sept 11.

A judge set the bond at over $260,000 and said Aland has a reported criminal history dating back to 2001 and spanning through 2020…
