Mid-90° heat continues for a few more days, but rain chances rise

Sunday was another hot and somewhat humid day to close out the holiday weekend. Just like Saturday, showers or storms were few and far between. Almost all of our area was rain-free and hot during the afternoon. High temperatures were in the low to mid 90s, while heat indices were near 100° at times. Sunday night remains dry with a partly cloudy to mostly clear sky. Temperatures fall into the low 70s.

It now looks like mid-90° heat could continue for the first few days of this week. However, rain chances rise a bit Tuesday and beyond, with widely scattered showers and storms each day. That results in a little less heat, with high temperatures mostly in the low 90s Thursday and Friday. High temperatures remain in the low 90s next weekend with widely scattered showers and storms…..
