Villager reflects on decision to move to Florida’s Friendliest Hometown

We arrived here almost four years ago, and I can still remember our hearts being filled with joy during the endless golf cart rides, exploring and whiling away our time until daylight faded, followed by the warm nights, and the endless bustling at the town squares.

The entire place suggested to us that we had found our foundation and the spare pieces could simply be filled in around it.

Then, as now, the whole place moved to a rhythm and beat that suited us entirely. Over those early days the finality of our move dug deeper into our psyches, accepting fate as fate, and in no time at all our first tepid steps became a headlong plunge into the abyss, knowing that if nothing else, the sheer beauty of this place would somehow make sense of it all…
