Taco Rico in Tradition offers fresh Tex-Mex cuisine

PORT ST. LUCIE – The list of restaurants in Tradition is rapidly growing along with the many choices of cuisine. Current options include Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Greek, Japanese, Latin or American, depending on your present craving. On the day I visited Taco Rico, I was in dire need of a good taco, and they did not disappoint.

My guest and I arrived at Taco Rico on Village Parkway right at noon. The décor is simple, a little industrial, but with bright lighting and clever signage. We were greeted as soon as we walked through the door.

The menu is quite extensive, but they do offer lunch specials, so we decided to sample a couple of those items. Choices of tacos include chicken, beef, pork, beans or for an upcharge, steak. For quesadillas, choose from pulled pork, chicken, beef or spinach and mushrooms. We opted for the three beef tacos, and a chicken quesadilla, both served with rice and beans. I saw they had taco and fajita salads, with either chicken, beef, steak or shrimp, and a vegan option. We opted for the steak fajita salad, so I could pretend I’m eating healthy…
