JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police are investigating after a pedestrian was hit and killed.
The incident occurred on Interstate 55 Frontage Road near Edgewood Terrace Drive around 2:00 a.m. on July 4.

The unidentified female victim was found deceased at the scene. Detective Tommie Brown, with the Jackson Police Department (JPD), the vehicle involved was not on the scene at the time officers arrived, but they did observe debris that could be connected to the vehicle.
