ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Rail Yards had some special visitors Sunday morning who aren’t used to life in the desert. It was Water Day in Downtown Albuquerque.
Kids and adults got to get their hands wet with some educational water science activities from Explora. It was also an opportunity to learn more about some of New Mexico’s water issues.
These productions were filmed at the Rail Yards. Have you seen them?
“Here in New Mexico, agriculture uses 80% of our water in the state. And there are more sustainable ways to use water for agriculture while meeting the needs of everyone here,” says Alec Mullet, volunteer campaign lead with Food & Water Watch.
Some mermaids also made the journey out to the Rail yards for some photos with visitors…
