Liberty Bikes honors 2 cyclists killed in dump truck accident with heartfelt eulogies

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — A day after nearly 200 people joined a memorial bike ride, eulogies lasted 90 minutes as hundreds listened inside and outside of Liberty Bikes Sunday afternoon to honor Jake Hill and Lennie Antonelli, the two bikers killed near Marshall last Tuesday after a dump truck reportedly crossed the center line.

“The ride that they were doing, we’ve been doing, I started doing that ride in ’85, and it started before that,” Liberty Bikes co-owner Sam White said.
