Motorcyclist dead after crashing into telephone pole

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A 26-year-old man from Jamestown is dead after he crashed his motorcycle into a telephone pole Sunday morning, according to police.

Police responded to Buffalo Street and Beechview Avenue just before 8 a.m. Sunday morning for a report of a single motorcycle accident. Kyle Pitts, 26, was driving the motorcycle when he left the roadway and struck a telephone pole, a preliminary investigation found.

Pitts was transported to UPMC Chautauqua where he later died. An investigation into the accident remains ongoing.
