GALLERY: Newborns at UNC Health get in the Fourth of July spirit

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — The youngest patients at UNC Health had a little help getting in the Fourth of July spirit on Friday.

According to the hospital, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit nurses at UNC Health Rex Hospital in Raleigh and UNC Children’s Hospital in Chapel Hill dressed the newborns in festive and safe costumes, some of which can be seen below.

UNC Health said the outfits allowed the newborns and their families to celebrate the holiday while at the hospital.

“We wish all our patients a Happy Independence Day and hope our NICU families celebrate future 4ths with fun and fireworks,” the hospital said in a statement…
