‘I had the greatest time in Cleveland’: Director of ‘Superman’ gives more love to Cleveland after transforming city into Metropolis for new movie

CLEVELAND — As the new “Superman” movie is set to soar into theaters nationwide this Friday, director James Gunn is giving even more love to Cleveland, which was transformed into Metropolis last summer when production filmed scenes in the city.

“I had the greatest time in Cleveland,” Gunn told our news partner Cleveland.com in a one-on-one interview. “The Cleveland people were great. I think they know how much I like them if they’ve seen any of my posts or whatever. They were just fantastic throughout and I’ve got a billion Cleveland T-shirts that I wear to this day.”
