San Jose police involved in shooting while responding to a family disturbance

San Jose police officers were involved in a shooting Sunday afternoon, though what transpired was not immediately clear.

The incident occurred shortly before 2:30 p.m. when officers responded to reports of a domestic disturbance at a home near Recife Way and Vargas Drive.

A suspect in the incident, whom police have not identified, had “what appeared to be” multiple guns, the San Jose Police Department officials said in a brief description on social media.
