Poinciana Man Arrested on Fourth of July
POLK COUNTY, Fla. – The spirit of freedom usually defines the Fourth of July, but for one Poinciana man, the holiday ended with him losing his own liberty. Mark Cracchiolo, 58, was arrested Thursday evening after an argument over loud music allegedly escalated into a violent threat involving a hunting knife.
Polk County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to Cracchiolo’s residence on Bluebill Way around 8:00 PM. Reports indicated that Cracchiolo had been drinking and was playing loud music when a roommate asked him to lower the volume. Cracchiolo reportedly complied at first.
However, a short time later, Cracchiolo is said to have emerged from his room and confronted the roommate, accusing him of gossiping. The verbal altercation quickly intensified when Cracchiolo allegedly threatened to punch the victim. The situation took a more serious turn when Cracchiolo reportedly retrieved a hunting knife from his room, threatening to kill the roommate…
