Man hospitalized after waterskiing accident in Mississippi

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – A man was injured while waterskiing on the Pearl River near Flag Island on July 6.

According to Reservoir police, witnesses reported that the skier attempted to jump a boat wake, lost control and fell into the water. The skier reported he was unable to feel his legs.

2 juveniles arrested after Mississippi school buses are set on fire

Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks (MDWFP) officers and the Reservoir Police Department Marine Division responded to the scene.

The skier was transported by water to Ratliff Ferry, where he was airlifted to a local hospital for medical treatment. His current condition is unknown.
