Founder of North Augusta’s Living History Park dies on July 4th

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (WJBF) – Linda (Lynn) Sargent Thompson, founder of North Augusta’s Living History Park, died on July 4, 2025 after a battle with colon cancer at the age of 80.

Thompson created Living History Park, which revisits the colonial era of the 1700s, back in 1991. She served as a board member and president of for Olde Towne Preservation Association which manages the park.
