Mount Pleasant middle schools will require students to register e-bikes

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCBD) –Mount Pleasant has faced growing concern about unsafe juvenile behavior on e-bikes and local middle schools are working to solve this problem.

Moultrie Middle School is working with the town of Mount Pleasant and the Charleston County School District to have all students register their bikes at the beginning of the school year.

“Since there are bicycle, e-bikes and mopeds being used we have about 200 kids’ bike to Moultrie each day, so we just want to make sure they’re being safe,” said Moultrie Assistant Principal Ryan Giles…
