MDOT closes I-96 exit ramp in Lansing as part of major road project

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – Drivers in south Lansing will need to plan ahead as the westbound I-96 exit to M-99 is now closed for resurfacing.

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) says the closure will last three weeks, part of a larger project to rebuild a key stretch of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

“This stretch of road has been neglected for years,” said MDOT’s Brendan Ryder. “Community members have been very grateful for the work we’re putting in out here.”…
