Alleged Mobile drug ‘kingpin’ wants government agent barred from testifying

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – An attorney for an alleged drug “kingpin” has asked a federal judge to bar a law enforcement agent from testifying during his upcoming trial.

The lawyer for Glennie Antonio “Little Man” McGee argues in a court filing that the agent should not have been allowed to sit through the testimony of other witnesses at the first trial. That trial ended in a mistrial last month after the judge expressed concern that that its length could jeopardize the availability of some of the jurors.

McGee’ lawyer, James Johnson, also is asking the judge to prohibit prosecution witnesses from reviewing transcripts from the previous trial…
