Warrants detail Ocean Blvd. car chase that injured bike officer

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WPDE) — Warrants released by the Myrtle Beach Police Department (MBPD) detailed the chase down Ocean Boulevard Thursday night that resulted in one man being arrested and a bicycle cop being injured.

Timothy Elbert Aland, 40, was charged with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature, failure to stop for a blue light, possession of cocaine (third offense), simple possession of marijuana, driving under the influence, resisting arrest, passing unlawfully on the left, reckless driving and driving without a license.
