A Villager was tracked down and arrested after skipping out on his bar tab.
Eric William Berg, 58, of the Village of DeLuna, was arrested at his home this past Thursday evening on a charge of theft.
The New Jersey native had gone earlier that day to Lollygaggers Sports Grill in Wildwood where he ordered a Bloody Mary, a Classic Reuben sandwich and a Blue Moon draft beer, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department.
Berg began to use loud profane language and he was asked to leave the premises. Berg, who had been seated at the bar, was given his $26.70 bill by the bartender. Berg claimed he had forgotten his wallet and began to walk out, carrying a to-go box.
